I was recently on vacation and took a peak in the Pier 1 Imports store in Wichita Falls, Texas. To my delight, I found some furniture mirrored in the very back of the store. The room was somewhat dim, but I still managed to nab some decent shots of the mirror furniture in the back of the store that I’ll share with you. Having actually found a small collection of mirrors furniture at Pier 1, I’m inspired to write about the best stores to buy mirrored furniture at. But first, let me share some photos with you.

The above picture is a nifty dresser with brushed trim and cushioned stool. The stool was $99 and the actual mirrored mirror was $159.99 but I’m not positive what the actual mirrored dresser cost.

These photos are all from the same crop. They had other pieces but I’m going to put those pictures in another post. The problem I had with this dresser set was it was dusty and in a dark area so it was difficult to get a good grasp on what the set could do as mirrored bedroom furniture. I think there was potential, but the prices seemed a little high for what seemed like a thrown together ensemble in the back of the store. It was almost as if they had got in a tiny shipment or extras from another store that had gone out of business and just put them in the back with the rugs.
Pier 1 has always been like that though. They just shove all they have into their space and see what sells. I’m curious as to whether other locations also have mirror furniture or if this was a rarity. I’ll tell you one thing, being an avid admirer and hopeful collector, I was pleasantly shocked that they had a collection at all. I’m going to check other locations and see if this was a fluke. I did just check their website and found no results.
If you’re out there looking like me, never dismiss a piece of furniture because it doesn’t shine like a diamond the first time you see it. Sometimes you can score some huge sales and discount prices just by taking the diamond in the rough. I have a sad but interesting story for you on an opportunity missed at a super clearance price because of one small defect. I’ll tell you what store slashed the price several hundreds of dollars, why the outcome was said, and how you can capitalize on the story and end up with a huge discount on mirrored furniture because of it.
